Job Description

American Appliance Products LLC in Newport, is looking for a 1st shift Maintenance Planner.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS

  • Generates and distributes PM/Work Orders for Maintenance Mechanics.
  • Converts Work Requests from production to Work Orders. 
  • Maintains backlog of Work Orders. 
  • Maintains equipment history. 
  • Uses feedback from Preventive and Predictive Maintenance to create Work Orders for corrective maintenance. 
  • Works with Maintenance Manager and Procurement to procure necessary non-stock items/parts for Work Orders.
  • Daily stock, inventory and issuance of parts/supplies.
  • Maintains spare parts inventory and storeroom setup. 
  • Compile and maintain accurate records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, or supplies stocked for efficient and effective inventory utilization.
  • Compile information on receipt or disbursement of equipment parts and/or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and cost.
  • Receives availability on a weekly basis and uses this to determine the backlogged work to assign the next week. 
  • Tracks completion of Work Orders. 
  • Converts Equipment History into new or improved Preventive and Predictive Maintenance. 
  • Coordinate facility mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure accurate current manufacturing part numbers are available and documented as part of the PM program and procedures.
  • Maintains PM, PdM, CM and WO document storage.
  • Generates PM/Work Order Reports for Maintenance Manager as needed.
  • Participate in doing scheduled PM’s such as filter changes, lubricating equipment and assisting Maintenance Department in projects deemed necessary by Maintenance Manager.

  • Mechanical Aptitude with knowledge of all production equipment. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. 
  • Thorough understanding of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance. 
  • Thorough understanding of Maintenance Systems. 
  • Ability to work with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance process.
  • Demonstrate a proficiency and understanding of systems such as safety, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance as it related to documenting procedures and developing PM’s.
  • Previous experience in Maintenance inventory/purchasing role a plus!
  • Team player with excellent communication and organization skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
