Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer

Job Location: Work Remotely with up to 50% travel

                   Must be located in the Midwest Region with a preference for TN &                     KY.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Utilize engineering education and experience to investigate, plan, design and develop engineered components to the food preservation, cooking and home comfort industries. 
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to take products from concept to production and troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing or quality issues during production.  
  • Interact with customers in the United States and Mexico to request technical data and review functional requirements. 
  • Determine feasibility of new and modified components and assemblies using analytical engineering tools, define test methods based on customer and company specifications, support prototype builds and testing/validation for products, evaluate test results and determine/coordinate appropriate engineering action and complete component and process cost analysis. 
  • Provide engineering and technical support to customers, company and affiliated manufacturing, quality assurance, program management and sales through corrective actions, quality notifications and deviations and work with multidisciplinary team to improve products, resolve customer issues and prepare engineering documentation and reports.  
  • Manage business development activities of a dedicated strategic territory and develop and execute strategies for new business.
  • Follow and adhere to sales quality procedures according to the ISO system from initial decision to bid, through contract handover to production. 
  • Keep current with technological issues with our customers and our products and have a working knowledge of same. 
  • Achievement of sales forecasts for targeted products.
  • Develop existing accounts for maximum market penetration.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required

    Skills/Knowledge

    • Excellent PC skills including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail, time management, analyzing, and organizational skills.
